Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers & Injectables Help Reduce the Signs of Aging

Dermal fillers refresh and refine contours, helping to restore youthful proportion to your face. Also referred to as soft tissue fillers, dermal fillers restore lost volume and fullness to your face, fill in lines and creases and enhance facial features. At The Center for Aesthetics, we offer a variety of dermal fillers including RHA Collection, and Radiesse and will choose the right injectable, or combination of treatments, to best fit your unique needs.  You will see that there are some dermal fillers which we choose NOT to use.  At Center for Aesthetics we put your safety first and Dr. Durboraw refuses to use any product which she does not believe meets her standard of care.

Dermal Fillers enhance your true beauty, without drastically changing your appearance.

Dr. Durboraw will often ask you to bring a picture of your younger self.  This gives her important information about what your facial contours used to look like.  The changes happen so slowly and subtly that often you have forgotten about the appearance of your youthful jawline, chin or nose projection.  Her goal is to restore your particular natural contours to give you the facial details that you recognize in the mirror.  Dr. D calls this the “je ne sais quoi” – the thing you and the rest of the world can’t quite detect what the difference is but it just looks better.

Of course, fillers can also be used in younger faces to enhance specific facial details like lips and cheekbones.  Whatever it is that you are looking for, you can be sure that at Center for Aesthetics we will listen to what you desire as an aesthetic goal.

Injectables are natural and safe.

At CFA we use only the safest soft tissue fillers with hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite to deliver a predictable and long-lasting correction. They can add volume and decrease wrinkles with a single treatment. As an added bonus, injectables may also rev up collagen production, so you’ll have fresher-looking skin over time.

Most fillers use hyaluronic acid – your body produces it naturally, but you have less of it as your skin ages. Because it stores moisture, hyaluronic acid gives skin a plump, hydrated look. It’s used topically to moisturize, but only injectable hyaluronic acid can restore lost volume by adding to the natural plumping action or replenishing your body’s natural production.

It’s so important to go to a highly trained and skilled provider and not an inexperienced med spa.

Dermal filler placement is as much art as science. At CFA, our board-certified team has deep knowledge of facial anatomy and a strong sense of facial proportion and harmony. Too many medical spas employ novices who took a quick course in injectables, which can be downright dangerous and in the best case scenario produce unnatural “done” appearances. At CFA you can trust our understanding of facial anatomy and the scientific research that backs each injectable brand, so we select the right filler depending on your needs and place it in your face correctly.

We also stay up to date on the latest advances, regularly attending The Aesthetic Medicine World Congress in Monte Carlo, Monaco – considered the gold standard conference for soft tissue filler education – to ensure our techniques and facial evaluation set the standard on a global scale.

Expert injection will give you beautiful, natural-looking results.

The best dermal filler will look natural and in harmony with your facial features. At CFA, we offer a subtle approach that helps you look youthful, refreshed, and rested. We enhance your beauty, without the risk of trout pout or duck lips that are so common when fillers are placed improperly.

Dr. Durboraw has coined the “Whoville House Effect” to describe the error of thinking that dermal fillers can “lift” our face.  The era of the “liquid facelift” is, in her opinion, a thankfully bygone one – but unfortunately, many practices still offer this approach.

The “Whoville House” results when the scaffolding of the house is in need of repair but your solution is to stuff more insulation in the wall.  We all know that will result in a very strange looking contour to the wall and a still sagging house.

Dermal fillers do NOT achieve lift.  And placing them in our face attempting to get that lift will result in an overblown, extremely unnatural shape.  At Center for Aesthetics, we use the right tool for the job and if your scaffolding is in need of repair you will have a much better result with treatments like our proprietary CFA Trifecta using state-of-the-art technologies like UltherapyVivace, and PRP.  We reserve dermal fillers for their correct use – restoring natural contours that have changed over the years from bone remodeling and fat volume loss.

Injectables are easy in-office treatments.

They’re a lot more comfortable than you might think. Results last from six to eighteen months depending on the product used. At Center for Aesthetics, it is never a “fill her up” experience. We will take a “less is more” approach. Choosing to add volume gradually over 2 to 3 visits results in a much more natural transformation. Temporary bruising and swelling can occur, so we recommend you choose the appropriate time to avoid interfering with important social events.
