During your consultation at the Center for Aesthetics we will discuss available treatments and work with you to form a personalized treatment plan, Often a combination of different technologies will be utilized to give you the best results.

CoolSculpting is a simple and effective in-office procedure that reduces unwanted body fat with no sedation or downtime. CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis technology to freeze fat cells, destroys them permanently. Depending upon the areas being treated, your session may take from 35 minutes to several hours. Results from each session develop over about 3 months, and we often recommend two to four sessions over the first year for optimal body contouring. Although there is no downtime, many patients experience temporary side effects in the treated areas, such as bruising, tenderness, skin sensitivity, numbness, swelling and cramping. While symptoms generally last from ten days to three weeks, CoolSculpting does not limit your physical activity and we encourage you to resume your usual activity level as soon as possible following treatment. CoolSculpting is limited by the size of the applicator, and works well for the initial treatment of pinch-able fat in the abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms.

ThermiSmooth treatment is best for patients who suffer from skin laxity in addition to mild to moderate excess fat. While many patients come to us seeking treatment for cellulite on the abdomen, thighs, or upper arms, often a combination of skin laxity and fat excess is to blame. ThermiSmooth works by delivering radiofrequency energy to heat the skin, resulting in collagen contracture and skin tightening as well as some fat contouring. Although it does not provide the same body contouring as CoolSculpting, most patients enjoy ThermiSmooth treatments and compare them to a hot stone massage. Usually a course of three to four treatments per area is recommended, and treatments may be performed weekly. Results are often visible within one to two months and continue to progress over four to six months following the final treatment. As with any skin tightening treatment, we recommend regular maintenance sessions to retain your results.
